Hello, I'm new to eRepublik, and therefore new to the party as well.
I'm looking to be more involved and to learn along the way.

Re: Sign In Here
Nice, glad to see you AJ
Sam Brusca, if you have any specific Questions feel free to PM me here or on eRep.
Here is a post I sent out to a questioning person just today, hope it helps.
First question is the easiest, what is your party's political platform and what are their plans for the future of eCanada?
I have yet to release a Platform for my term since I am only 1/2 day in but if you want to take a look at past platforms for the party here is the link to last months Platform. (http://www.erepublik.com/en/article/the-canadian-empire-party-official-platform-june-july--837038/1/20)
Second, if the war we are in were to end today and all opposing countries retreated what would you do if in power?
Firstly, in the CEP we have a separation of Party President and the Country President(candidate) so this question may not pertain to me under that light, however if put in that position I would focus on ensuring the continuity of Battles so that our Economy would remain strong, secondly I would ensure that our economy was not receding as it is expected to do after the war. If all of that was achieved and I still had time I would commission a Contitutional Rewrite from bottom to top. (After 4 terms as a congressman some things become blatantly obvious to me that others would never notice, one of them is the leaky faucet of a constitution)
Third, where do you stand on important current economic issues (lowering the value of the CAD, and lowering minimum wage for example)?
On Lowering the Value of our Dollar I think that it requires a careful but firm hand to regulate such a fragile equilibrium, the MM and CAD's value could be a very volatile problem if handled incorrectly and one of my focus' for the last several months. As I see it there are two sides to this coin (if I may) one being the domestic producer/domestic seller and the other being the Domestic producer/international seller; while it is true that the dom/dom is more lucrative in a (relatively) high value dollar situation the opposite holds true for the dom/int. The key to this issue is finding the tricky balance, I and many other educated persons believe it to be around 40CAD/g. Keep in mind that 40 is the Goal, and the long term one at that devaluing the CAD too quickly would be disastrous as I said before a careful but firm hand.
Thank you for the questions, and you would be very welcome in the CEP. If you ever want to chat come on IRC, I am on most evenings (1600 erep time on)
Gofarman CEP PP
PS- I am against lowering the Minimum wage, anyone that says it should be lowered is a bad businessman or greedy.

Re: Sign In Here
Welcome to the CEP Schept, Keil Molten, Crazy Canadian guy, and Orinas. It's great to have so many recent additions to the party. We are growing quickly, and acting quickly in politics these days, and it's great to see!
Feel free to PM me if you have a question or a concern. I'm one of our uh... Veteran politicians...
*cough* Speaker of Congress *cough*
So hopefully I can be of assistance. There is cold beer in the pub, and much is ado in General Chat and Congressional elections at the moment. And if you are looking for a steady employer, we have a registry of companies owned by members of the CEP, that preferentially hire fellow party members. We all grow together after all.
Welcome again.

Re: Sign In Here
Hahaha I have landed my CEP commrades !!!
My name is Jaddax. I'm fairly new, 2 months old. After reading up on all the parties and the various ideologies in eCanada, I found that the CEP suits my perception the most. I'm glad to be here, and I hope to work with everyone in the CEP to make eCanada a stronger and more prosperous nation.
“The aim of military training is not just to prepare men for battle, but to make them long for it.”
- Louis Simpson.
And that my friends is the way we should be... blood thirsty for war, ready when it comes for us. If eCanada was a military-state, our borders would have been better protected, let this be a lesson for those that do not see the importance of a strong eCanada.
For eCanada ... For Glory...

Re: Sign In Here
That's right Jaddax, we were not prepared
We need people to see that the CEP can and will always be the party to protect Canada and in a time of total war it's time for the CEP again.

Serving in Washington
Canada and America need to be defended.
As much as I love Canada, Washington is my home-away-from-home; I was in Spokane last weekend and Seattle last month. As Washington is currently part of Canada, it needs proper representation in the Canadian government by someone familiar with the area. My links to the area make me well-qualified to speak for Washingtonians in the Canadian government.
In three weeks, I've reached level 13 and the rank of Sergeant. I've done almost 1000 damage in 53 fights in defense of Canada (and Alaska) and I look forward to joining the CAF at the earliest opportunity (should be next week). My level of commitment to the defense of Canada is second to none.
The crisis calls for national strength and unity, and it seems the CEP is the party of strength and unity. I give credit to Jaddax for contacting me and suggesting I join the CEP.
